About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to lead our Cloud Transformation journey at Skipton Building Society. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering our Project Portfolio, ensuring that our infrastructure and applications are aligned with our Architectural Principles and Target Architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into high-level designs for technology solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and decision-making to delivery and technical leads, project managers, and development and engineering teams.
  • Ensure architectural governance and assurance throughout the project process.
  • Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture background.
  • Experience of working with agile methodologies and DevOps tools, such as Azure DevOps, Git, etc.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant certification or qualification in cloud architecture, such as TOGAF or Azure Solutions Architect.
