Director of Finance

The Library Company of Philadelphia seeks a seasoned financial leader to oversee its financial operations and ensure the organization's long-term sustainability. As Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial plans, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management
  • Manage the annual budget process, financial reporting, and forecasting to inform strategic decision-making
  • Direct the financial analysis and planning process to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Collaborate with the Board of Trustees and senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Oversee financial systems, including accounting, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, funders, and partners
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in nonprofit organizations
  • Proven track record of financial management, planning, and analysis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences
  • Experience with financial software, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
