Cost Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our Programme Controls team at AWE plc.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, develop, and maintain timely and accurate cost data, reports, including forecasts, performance analysis, earned value, cash flows, and monthly reports on actual cost of work performed.
- Support the project in minimising estimate at completion for the programme in accordance with best value.
- Produce and maintain accurate cost and cash forecasts in alignment with cost assessment of all changes, and accurate representation of approved changes within programme budgets.
- Assist in the development of cost systems and reports to ensure delivery of project objectives.
- Maintain all cost data for the programme within financial control system.
- Provide timely and focussed cost reporting for the programme to key stakeholders.
- Accurately assess the estimate at completion for the programme.
- Ensure that earned value techniques and indices are correctly implemented in the programme.
- Compare and analyse trends within the programme and identify risk and opportunities.
- Review, acceptance, and integration of cost estimates and forecasts provided by tier 1 contractors and suppliers.
- Adhere to governance and cost standards and procedures.
- Ensure all project documents, in particular sensitive nuclear information, is correctly marked, and protected in accordance with AWE policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified up to HNC.
- Success in a project controls environment or similar cost role on a major construction project.
- Adept with tech such as cost tools, Excel, and IT.
- Building rapport and creating great relationships.
- Motivating and building teams.
