We are seeking a highly skilled Delegated Authority Solutions Specialist to join our team at Aon. As a key member of our Delegated Authority Solutions team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and crafting solutions for complex placements and drafting outstanding Agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning the Contract renewals for specific Structured Portfolio Solution (SPS) agreements within AUM, working with the Delegated Authority Business Partners to ensure that progress is communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Establishing position as the SPS liaison point for brokers and other key stakeholders for specific SPSs.
  • Supporting discussions with Delegated Authority teams in our capacity providers to ensure they are kept up to date with plans and changes in advance of renewals or during negotiation of changes and to understand their needs.
  • Accurate drafting of Delegated Authority Agreements and endorsements as required.
  • Assisting in the drafting and analysis of Aon Delegated Authority Agreement templates.
  • Liaising with all internal stakeholders who are accountable for servicing the SPS and meeting our contractual requirements (underwriters, fiduciary functions, claims, brokers, reporting team etc.) to ensure that the appropriate steps are being followed to ensure that all new and development SPS opportunities can be measured, assessed, and supported.
  • Supporting Underwriting teams in articulating performance of SPSs to carriers, by holding quarterly review calls across all SPSs.
  • Assisting with the analysis of the portfolio to gain insight into existing SPSs with Underwriting managers, drawing conclusions and findings to be presented to drive growth.
  • Supporting SPS product owners in meeting our contractual requirements and escalating where risks and issues as they occur.
  • Ensuring that appropriate governance is in place across SPSs and agreed processes are followed.
  • Supporting Aon Underwriting Managers Leadership's objectives including implementation of process improvements, IT systems and other projects that improve client delivery and reduce operational costs including the increased use of automation, systems integration and e-commerce.

The Delegated Authority Solutions team focus on maintaining and crafting solutions for complex placements and drafting outstanding Agreements, working with Lloyd's, the LMA and carriers' Delegated Authority Teams. This could be through the development of an existing product to a greater level of authority (e.g. converting a Lineslip into a Binding Authority) or identifying an area of a portfolio that could benefit from the efficiencies that a Structured Portfolio Solution can offer.

Requirements
  • A sound understanding of Delegated Authority, Binding Authorities and Agreements and core insurance processes.
  • Broad understanding of the Lloyd's and London Market Insurance.
  • Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
  • Technical insurance knowledge around the management and placement of delegated business.
  • Expertise to provide solutions to complex requirements.
  • Understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
