We are seeking an experienced Performance Planning Engineer to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our project controls team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Job Summary

The Performance Planning Engineer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project controls processes, templates, and tools. You will work closely with our project teams to monitor performance against project baselines, incorporating the impacts of risk, opportunities, and change in a controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with remote teams to establish market-tested cost baselines and ensure clients receive value for money.
  • Guide general contractors to ensure they are progressing in line with schedules and within agreed cash flow parameters.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues while preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Develop and maintain cost reports, summarizing financials in executive-level dashboards.
  • Understand and apply change management principles, leading agreed change management processes and workflows.
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project/programme schedules, agreeing baselines and critical paths.
  • Participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on project cost and schedule.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of master schedules, ensuring adherence to defined processes and quality expectations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in project controls coordination across all project lifecycle phases, including program, risk, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • A commitment to providing excellent service and strong time management skills.
