About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Ipswich and Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in teaching or looking for flexible, ad-hoc work. You will have the chance to gain valuable classroom experience, whether you're new to education or seeking a stepping stone into a teaching role.

As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise pupils during teacher absences. You will also be expected to manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task with assigned exercises.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise pupils during teacher absences
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task with assigned exercises
  • Cover a range of subjects across different schools, depending on daily assignments
Requirements
  • Confident in supervising pupils and managing classroom behaviour
  • Available to work between 8:15am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time
  • Previous experience in education or working with children is beneficial, but not essential (training and support will be provided)
