Construction Superintendent

SLAM Construction Services, a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team.
This role requires strong knowledge of managing work in hospitals and other medical facilities, as well as excellent organizational, safety, and communication skills to manage and lead complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the on-site construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, vendors, and regulatory staff to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and report on schedule progress and projections, and identify potential problems before they occur.
- Manage subcontractor safety orientations, onboarding, and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractor installations, workflow, and sequencing to ensure quality workmanship.
- Drive the field team to achieve targeted milestones and completion dates while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Proactively identify and solve potential problems, and monitor and correct quality control issues.
- Identify and report material and scheduling projections throughout the construction process.
- Complete daily field reports and logs to ensure accurate project documentation.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and other employees.
- Monitor and promote job site safety, safe work practices, and rectify any job site hazards.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and all trades.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Experience with interior layout and basic survey for line grade and elevations.
- Effective communication and management skills to work with vendors, team members, and owners.
- Proficiency in ProCore, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong record keeping and use of field technology to assist with reporting.
Education Requirements:
- Any combination of education, training, or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience in general trades and on-site construction supervision.
- Proficiency in at least 3 trade skills preferred.
