Chef - Edinburgh

We're seeking an ambitious and passionate Chef to join our team at Chartwells - Independent in Edinburgh. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present delicious, high-quality food that meets our high standards
  • Oversee and implement menu changes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food services and implement changes
  • Listen and act on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
  • Support with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
  • Represent Chartwells - Independent and maintain a positive brand image
  • Monitor inventories to ensure our kitchens are well-stocked
  • Oversee kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
  • Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations

Our Ideal Chef:

  • Is passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Has experience supervising a team
  • Has experience in a similar Chef role
  • Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
  • Has a flexible approach to working
