Business and Enterprise Development Manager

About the Role:

The Stable Family Home Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business and Enterprise Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to support the long-term financial viability of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business plans to increase revenue and improve financial sustainability
  • Lead on the development and improvement of our garden centre and café in Highcliffe, Christchurch, and the development of our shop in Southbourne
  • Build strong networks with local employers to offer work experience, supported work placements, and paid employment to service users
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other community-based organisations, local businesses, and Commissioners
  • Lead on the development of marketing materials to raise the Trust's profile across the Hampshire, Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole, and Dorset local authority areas
  • Manage the budget assigned to business and enterprise and take an active role in marketing and promoting these elements of the Trust to increase income

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a business or social enterprise role for another company or organisation
  • Knowledge of funding streams available to support the development of new and innovative business opportunities
  • Knowledge of business enterprise management in the retail sector
  • Confident communicator at all levels, highly motivated and self-driven, with a compassionate and kind approach to helping people who are disadvantaged by their disability
