The Opportunity

This role plays a vital part in helping teachers teach and learners learn. As a Technical Assistance Provider, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to education users. Working closely with the service desk, you will strive to meet contractual SLA targets, escalating where necessary while keeping customers informed. This role suits someone who enjoys troubleshooting IT problems and supporting users without an IT background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the service desk in delivering the IT managed support service.
  • Provide technical assistance to school-based users, reporting service issues in line with service desk policies.

Requirements

  • Maintenance and support of Desktop & Mobile Devices (Laptops, Chromebooks, Tablets).
  • Peripheral Support (Printing, Scanning, Interactive Screens, Projectors, Audio/Visual Equipment).
  • Basic wired and wireless networking and troubleshooting.
  • Image build and deploy tools – Microsoft and Apple devices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodology and use of IT service desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow.

    Salary and Benefits

    The salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include private medical healthcare, life assurance, and a Group Personal Pension Plan with higher contribution levels available. Performance-related bonuses may also be applicable.
