The Guardian Foundation is seeking a skilled Digital Archive Manager to oversee the professional management and care of the GNM Archive. This part-time (3 days a week) role will involve managing the archive's digital repository, providing access to colleagues and other users, and line managing the Archivist and supervising volunteers and work experience students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the archive's digital repository and ensure the preservation of digital records
  • Provide access to the archive collections and history of the paper to internal and external enquirers
  • Line manage the Archivist and supervise volunteers and work experience students
  • Maintain the archive's websites and online catalogue (Calmview)
  • Give talks and tours relating to the archive and the history of the newspapers
  • Programme evaluation and impact reporting, including the preparation of statistics and reports for the Guardian Foundation
