About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and support to our clients. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods by air, sea, and road, ensuring that shipments are delivered on time and within budget.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations
- Prepare and process documentation for export and import, including customs forms and commercial invoices
- Arrange for the collection and delivery of goods, including scheduling transportation and handling any issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking and tracing information
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to queries and resolving any issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency
- Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of our logistics team
What You'll Need
- 3 years' experience in freight forwarding or a related field
- Strong knowledge of international air, sea, and road freight regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software quickly
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a comprehensive training program, opportunities for career development, and a dynamic and supportive work environment.
