Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  2. Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning requirements, including those with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
  3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their learning goals.
  4. Collaborate with other professionals, such as SENCOs and educational psychologists, to create effective learning plans and interventions.
  5. Maintain accurate records of student development and progress, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism or additional qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in SEN education
Preferred Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification in SEN or related field

Experience working with students across different age groups

Working Conditions

This role will involve working primarily in a classroom setting, with occasional participation in meetings outside of regular hours. You will be part of a team-oriented environment, collaborating with other professionals to support students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
