Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Control Specialist to join our team on a high-profile project in East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, with experience within the rail sector being a distinct advantage.

The role involves overseeing and managing all costs related to the project, ensuring it is completed within the projected budget. This includes preparing tender and contract documents, monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle, and providing regular reports and forecasts to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Oversee and manage all costs relating to the project
  • Financial & Commercial Advice: Provide ongoing financial and commercial advice to the project team
  • Tender & Contract Documentation: Prepare tender and contract documents
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Risk Management: Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in managing complex projects
  • Sound knowledge of NEC 3/4 Target Cost contracts and experience in procurement processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
