HR Advisor

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and consistent HR service to the company. This will involve advising managers on employment law and best practice, as well as maintaining accurate HR records and providing support to all employees.
The role will also involve developing, reviewing, and updating organisational policies, as well as leading company-wide consultation procedures. The successful candidate will be required to provide HR-related advice to all stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team, within the business.
Key responsibilities will include maintaining and updating accurate paper and system-based HR records, providing HR-related advice to all stakeholders, and leading company-wide consultation procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating organisational policies, as well as supporting and advising on department restructures.
Other responsibilities will include experience of operating within regulatory expectations and partaking in DE&I practices, first point of contact for all stakeholders within the business for HR-related queries, and liaising with Occupational Health and chairing subsequent outcome meetings/building reports or wellness action plans.
The successful candidate will be expected to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, demonstrating a flexible approach with a positive attitude to change. They will also be expected to be proactive and capable of using their own initiative, and to be an approachable and friendly individual.
The successful candidate will be required to act within the standards expected within Consumer Duty and comply with The Conduct Rules, which set the minimum standard of individual behaviour expected when carrying out a role at Specialist Motor Finance.
