We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team within a fast-paced rail, civil engineering, and buildings asset management environment.

This role is part of the CP7 framework, focusing on the North West & Central region, where you can develop your skills by working closely with seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to manage multiple sites efficiently and within budget.
  • Accurately price and submit estimates on time.
  • Resolve pricing queries and issues with clients.
  • Engage in client communication and relationship management.
  • Coordinate with Site Managers to gather operational information.
  • Manage subcontractors and their performance.
  • Oversee change management processes and early warnings.
  • Administer contracts (NEC/NR forms).
  • Prepare and review Cost Value Reports (CVRs).
  • Contribute to final account processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a rail and civil engineering environment.
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC/HND/Degree).
  • Experience with civil engineering projects, including rail, bridges, roads, and structures.
  • Familiarity with rail projects (particularly Network Rail projects or maintenance frameworks).
  • Strong understanding of contractual management with NEC or bespoke NR forms of contract.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a contractor organisation.
