Selby Jennings is seeking a skilled Commodities Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commodities desk, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between analysts, engineers, and third-party data vendors.

About the Job:
  • Streamline Data Workflows: Manage and monitor data scrapes, ensure reliability, and decommission outdated pipelines when necessary
  • Understand data needs, ensure delivery of actionable datasets, and troubleshoot issues quickly
  • Coordinate with Vendors: Collaborate with third-party providers to resolve data format or quality issues, ensuring smooth and accurate data flow
  • Light Scripting & Querying: Use SQL and basic Python for data validation, automation, and operational support

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will have experience working with third-party data vendors and managing operational pipelines.

Responsibilities:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, based on industry standards and market conditions.
