About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Weston-super-Mare. As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for planning and managing a diverse portfolio of clients, running audits from planning to completion, and preparing accounts and tax computations within audit engagements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and managing a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Running audits from planning to completion, championing quality and compliance
  • Preparing accounts and tax computations within audit engagements
  • Carrying out technical research and presenting findings clearly and effectively
  • Building strong rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Delivering a strong understanding of risk management during audits, with a critical eye to ensure accuracy
  • Keeping up to date with audit regulations and emerging trends that could impact the audit function
  • Managing your own workload, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met
  • Championing your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years' experience within UK practice
  • Sound knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards
  • Working knowledge of tax regulations, IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial reporting standards
  • Working knowledge of Sage Accounts and Caseware audit software would be an advantage
  • Resilient and able to multi-task
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Strong time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure
  • A team player who is eager to support the wider team
