About the Role

Your new company is a medium-sized organisation based in Liverpool with a fantastic variety of business streams and commercial activities. As an accountant, you will find that your skills are widely challenged as you report on multiple business entities. This is a really good first move role for an ambitious qualified accountant who is looking for a role where no one day is the same.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Finance with the completion of monthly and annual accounts.
  • Take the lead on the production of draft financial statements for a wide range of subsidiaries and the principal group company.
  • Prepare the VAT and other tax returns.
  • Take the lead with the external audit.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks to deadlines and manage multiple competing work streams.
  • Experience of producing statutory accounts, or of reviewing statutory accounts via audit.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and external professionals.
