Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Import/Export Operations: Oversee the import and export of goods across various international locations.
  • Arrange Collections: Coordinate collections with designated transportation companies.
  • Client Liaison: Collaborate with clients, branch offices, global agents, and transport providers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and providing regular updates.
  • Tracking and Invoicing: Track shipments, manage invoicing, and handle pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
  • Customs Clearance: Prepare and process Customs entries when required.
  • Monitoring and Job Costing: Monitor shipments through to final delivery and oversee job costing and invoicing tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience working with a UK-based freight forwarding company.
  • Import/Export Management: Experience in managing import/export operations across air, road, or sea freight.
  • Customs Clearance: Solid understanding of customs clearance procedures.
  • Freight Software: Proficiency with freight-related software such as Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
