About the Role:

This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (Level 2 as a minimum) to develop their skills and knowledge in HGV systems. As a Trainee HGV Technician, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and support from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of HGVs.
  • Learn to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Support in conducting safety checks and ensuring compliance with all industry regulations.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (Level 2 as a minimum requirement).
  • Strong interest in vehicle mechanics, particularly in HGVs.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and technologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driver's license is desirable, with an interest in obtaining an HGV license (support may be provided by the company).
