About the Role:

The Senior Technical Consultant will play a crucial role within the F&O Practice, contributing to and supporting the technical build and design of high-quality F&O solutions and the supporting infrastructure for our clients. This role is an important element of KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions' delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the technical delivery of high-quality business solutions to our clients using knowledge of Dynamics F&O technical capabilities and associated infrastructure, working closely with client and delivery teams.
  2. Help organise, contribute to and document workshops, meetings and requirements sessions with client representatives, project stakeholders and delivery team(s).
  3. Interact effectively with other members of the delivery team to ensure that the solution meets client's requirements.
  4. The creation of high quality and sustainable client solutions and project documentation including support for testing activities.
  5. Deliver all consultancy and configuration work according to KPMG project methodology, ensuring that all software applications are implemented successfully according to the project plan: on time and on budget.
  6. Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues where applicable.
  7. Be an active member of technical and design working groups within the practice as and when required.
  8. Contribute to pre-sales activities as required including building demo and proof of concept solutions for various client presentations.
  9. Contribute to the creation of KPMG Dynamics 365 solutions and industry templates.
  10. Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills, and behaviour.
  11. Identify business/project risks and mitigate or communicate as necessary.
  12. Communicate progress updates to relevant parties both formally and informally.
  13. Support practice development activities such as defining and configuring industry specific solutions.
  14. In all activities, ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training.
  15. Work on own initiative and with minimal support if needed.
  16. To carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by the management team.
  17. Promotes the Values of our company.

Requirements:

Experience and Background:
  1. Proven experience as a technical ERP consultant including appropriate certification(s).
  2. Experience with D365O in a Development Consulting role.
  3. Good understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O technical capabilities and limits.
  4. Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas and solutions in line with the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  5. Experience in gathering and documenting technical requirements.
  6. Experience with D365FO interfacing and integration.
  7. Experience in providing development solutions in a D365O environment.
  8. Knowledge of Lifecycle Services and DevOps/Visual Studio Team Services.
  9. An understanding of the core Power Platform components, including PowerApps, Power Automate, LogicApps and Common Data Service.
  10. Knowledge of other technologies such as SQL PowerBI, SharePoint and ideally .Net.
  11. An understanding of the broader Microsoft stack and Azure services.
  12. Understanding of scope (creep) and use of change control processes.
  13. Pre-sales experience is desirable.
