About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Capital Management Professional to join our Group Corporate Treasury department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our dynamic team, leading and steering the Group's capital optimisation efforts.
Your key responsibilities will include engaging and collaborating with senior management across Treasury, Retail, Commercial, Insurance, Risk, and Finance, gaining extensive knowledge and exposure across GCT and the Group. You will also apply your commercial knowledge alongside the technical aspects of the role to manage the Group's capital, recommend allocation strategies, and lead conversations with senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and collaborate with teams and senior management across Treasury, Retail, Commercial, Insurance, Risk, and Finance, gaining extensive knowledge and exposure across GCT and the Group.
- Apply your commercial knowledge alongside the technical aspects of the role to manage the Group's capital, recommend allocation strategies, and lead conversations with senior management.
- Prepare the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), assessing all risks for which capital may be a suitable mitigant.
- Optimise capital at Group and legal entity level, including making recommendations to the Board on matters such as Capital Risk Appetite, Dividend, and Share Buyback decisions.
- Own and develop the capital policy, engaging both internal and external partners, such as the Bank of England.
- Understand changes to capital regulations to ensure the Group is well-prepared and makes informed decisions.
