Senior Water Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Civil Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our wastewater infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects that improve the environment and enhance the quality of life for local communities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Water Civil Engineer to work on a variety of wastewater infrastructure projects, including flood alleviation, network pumping stations, CSO storage, and upgrades. You will be responsible for producing technical designs, specifications, and reports, as well as mentoring and managing your design sub-team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers to ensure high-quality design output
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements

  • A degree in civil engineering or a related subject
  • Experience managing wastewater infrastructure schemes
  • Good knowledge of industry design software packages
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • CEng or IEng with post-chartered relevant experience
  • Experience in a variety of different forms of contract
  • Confident liaising with new and existing clients
  • Robust problem-solving skills and ability to lead a sub-team
