About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Propulsor Team at BAE Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, manufacture, and in-service support for propulsors across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop composite structures for propulsors
  • Develop and maintain internal procedures for compliance and evidence of compliance through written calculations and reports
  • Lead and support the identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages
  • Support technical development and research activities, methods, and acceptance criteria, liaising with industrial partners and external customers as necessary
  • Provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas, and implement agreed recovery plans
  • Support junior engineers within the team
  • Support installation activities in the production environment
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree) and a strong understanding of material strength properties. Knowledge of MatLab or MathCad is desirable, as is experience in the use of SolidWorks design software.
