Senior Highways Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ireland. As a key member of our Transport department, you will be responsible for leading design packages and projects, engaging with clients and site teams, and working collaboratively to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and project management of highways projects
  • Undertake, check, and review design packages to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Act as a highways technical lead on design tasks and packages, providing guidance and expertise to team members
  • Manage financial arrangements for projects, including fee forecasting, allocation, and change control
  • Apply and promote policies related to health and safety, quality, and training
  • Provide guidance, instruction, motivation, and management of staff to ensure successful project delivery
  • Establish relationships with individuals from other organizations, generate market intelligence, and identify new business opportunities
  • Prepare bids and contract documentation for projects
Requirements:
  • BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer
  • Good working knowledge of highways design, DMRB, MCHW, DMURS, TII specifications
  • Good working experience working on NTA and/or DfI project control phases and requirements
  • Experienced in the use of industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc.
  • Good knowledge of BIM procedures
  • Experienced in project delivery, including reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience or knowledge of resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting, and status reporting
