Job Title: Teaching AssistantAbout the Role:

TeacherActive is excited to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Nottingham. We are seeking an eager and friendly Teaching Assistant who has proven experience of working successfully in Early Years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and ensure a smooth learning environment.
  • Support students who require additional support and help them achieve their goals.
  • Conduct pupil observations and provide valuable feedback to the class teacher.
  • Work flexibly within different key stages and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Support groups of children in the classroom and contribute to their learning journey.
  • Provide individual support to children when necessary and cater to their unique needs.
  • Develop strong communication skills and build positive relationships with children and adults.
  • Show interest in supporting children with complex SEND and contribute to their educational progress.
  • Work effectively as part of a large team and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Key Stage 2 students is desirable.
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification would be an advantage.
  • A positive mindset and an enthusiasm for new challenges are essential.
  • SEND experience is ideal, but not necessary.
  • A kind and patient nature is required to support children in their learning journey.
