Job Description

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Epping

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £75 - £130 per day

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students and teachers in a primary school setting. This will involve working closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, supporting individual and group learning, and helping to create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering planned lessons and supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Supporting the educational and social development of students across all key stages.
  • Assisting with the preparation and implementation of lesson plans.
  • Providing targeted support to students with additional needs.
  • Engaging with parents and carers to support student progress.
  • Contributing to the assessment and tracking of student achievement.

Requirements:

  • A recognized HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.
  • A strong commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
