Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at GSL Education. As a key member of our educational team, you will provide high-quality support to both students and teachers, contributing to the delivery of engaging lessons and the creation of a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver planned lessons and supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Student Support: Support the educational and social development of students across all key stages.
  • Lesson Planning: Assist with the preparation and implementation of lesson plans.
  • Targeted Support: Provide targeted support to students with additional needs.
  • Parent Engagement: Engage with parents and carers to support student progress.
  • Assessment and Tracking: Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A recognized HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Approach: A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.
  • Safeguarding: A strong commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
