About the Role:

We are seeking Assembly Fitters to work closely with our Assembly Team Leader and Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling components according to detailed drawings and process plans, utilizing hand tools and powered tools. Key duties include ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures, effective communication with team members, and accurate completion of documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components from detailed 3rd angle drawings and process plans
  • Operate a range of hand tools and powered tools for tasks such as filing, deburring, pipe bending, hydraulic assembly, and mechanical assembly
  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Achieve accurate completion of all documentation on schedule

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate may be required to work collaboratively with the Production Management & Planning teams to implement methods for improving efficiency, quality, and production lead times while reducing costs. They may also be asked to assist in conducting trials for new processes to ensure the fitting team conforms to procedures.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

  • An Engineering Qualification (HNC or NC)
  • Ability to read and understand 3rd angle engineering drawings
  • Capacity to follow manufacturing processes and plans
  • Strong work ethic and attitude towards working and learning
