Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Social Value Engagement Coordinator to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK in Belfast. This part-time role, 18.75 hours per week, will involve working closely with CGI and partner organisations to raise awareness of our social impact commitments.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate volunteer opportunities for CGI employees to participate in local social value initiatives.
  • Help share information about the types of jobs and expertise offered by CGI with stakeholders and the skills/qualifications required as an employer of over 90,000 staff globally.
  • Set up and facilitate skills and IT workshops to support local community members.
  • Provide skills development and mentoring, including creating events that promote sharing motivational careers advice and skills/employability mentoring.

  • A person who is in education or has left education in the last 12 months and is seeking employment.
  • A person who is long-term unemployed.
  • A person who has a disability and is currently seeking employment.
  • Be located in a deprived area and currently seeking employment.
  • A person from an underrepresented group.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good planning skills with excellent attention to detail and high standards.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft 365.
  • Flexible approach and able to manage varying workloads.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with team members and professionals.
  • Commitment and ability to uphold confidentiality.
  • Understanding and empathetic towards supporting people who have been convicted of crime/impacted as a victim of crime and/or have lived with trauma.

Qualifications:

  • In line with the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) for England and Northern Ireland, one or more of the following Level 2 qualifications are required for the role: GCSEs at grades A-C*, Intermediate apprenticeships, Level 2 awards, diplomas, and certificates, OCR Nationals, NVQs (Level 2), Essential Skills qualifications, O Levels at grades A-C.
