About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career ESG professional to take their next step and join our Credit Team at Aviva. As an ESG Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in expanding our ESG capability within our Credit function.

About the Team:

Our Credit Team is a strategically important area of our business, managing $120bn across multiple investment desks. You will work closely with experienced ESG Analysts within a dedicated Credit ESG Team, collaborating with our Credit Investment Teams in London, Paris, and Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality and dynamic ESG research to support investment decisions.
  • Undertake engagements to generate investment and sustainable outcomes for our clients.
  • Contribute to the delivery of our current ESG integration activities and design, develop, and deliver new sustainability assessment frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Experience of conducting ESG research, ESG engagement, and ESG integration related activities within a Credit Team.
  • Experience in ESG analysis and processes, or an analyst background with a preference for fixed income or broader financial market/asset management experience.
  • Accountability for producing high-quality ESG research for our credit team, ensuring adherence to our risk and control framework.
  • Solid understanding of ESG materiality in an investment process, knowledge of how ESG considerations can impact portfolio construction and investment performance, and experience of working with investment teams.
  • Awareness and understanding of material ESG trends, investment themes, ESG-related policy and regulation, and key stakeholders.

Regulatory Requirements:

In this role, you will be 'Certified' under the Financial Conduct Authority/Prudential Regulation Authority's Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). We will complete regulatory background checks and ask questions annually to ensure you remain 'fit and proper' and competent to carry out your role.
