We are seeking a highly skilled Production DBA to join our IT Systems Integration team at Connells Group HQ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database environment, providing production-level SQL support, and collaborating with development teams to troubleshoot production systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Database Environment Management: Ensure the stability, security, and performance of our database environment.
- SQL Support: Provide expert-level SQL support to operations and development teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot production systems and implement development applications changes.
- Capacity Management: Perform regular capacity management tasks and security auditing to ensure optimal database performance.
- Data Security: Maintain data security within the database estate and enforce group security controls and best practices.
- DBA Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in database administration.
- Advanced T-SQL Skills: Excellent knowledge of T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server stack.
- Automation Skills: Strong working knowledge of PowerShell and automation deployment tools.
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with Azure SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Programming Languages: Ability to read and understand VB.NET and C#.NET.
- Virtualization: Experience with virtualization software, such as Hyper-V.
- Applications Administration: Knowledge of applications administration and IT operations.
- Business Focus: Understanding and focus on business outcomes.
- Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously in high-pressure situations.
