Role Overview

This position is ideal for a dedicated professional seeking to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As an Aspiring Youth Justice Worker, you will be working in a small, specialist school in Bristol that caters to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The successful candidate will have a passion for education and a desire to demonstrate its value to children who have been exposed to traumas and adverse childhood experiences. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop restorative skills within challenging settings, making it an attractive prospect for Criminology and Psychology graduates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with students to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance their well-being and happiness
  • Foster strong relationships with students to increase engagement, attainment, and life chances
  • Raise your own awareness and resilience levels when faced with situations of stress or conflict

The role requires someone who is passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. You should be able to build confidence and motivation in students while maintaining a calm and resilient demeanor under pressure.

$33,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience (equivalent to £85 per day)
