Job Title: School Cook/Chef

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced chef to join our team at The Education Specialists in Liverpool. As a school chef/cook, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the school kitchen, ensuring the quality and consistency of our menu offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes as provided, whilst ensuring the quality is never compromised
  • Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets expectations
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Work on your feet, be very reactive and execute daily specials as well as menu changes
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including proper storage of ingredients
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations before, during and after service

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in food preparation, preferably in a restaurant, school or care home
  • Experience of working in a fast and high pressured environment
  • Competent in a variety of different cooking techniques
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Level 2 Food & Hygiene Certificate

A full enhanced DBS is required for this role, which we can arrange for you.
