Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work primarily at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, with occasional work at Bassetlaw Hospital as service needs and staffing require.

Main Duties
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient Head and Neck SLT services as part of the Head and Neck MDT and existing Head and Neck SLT Team members.
  • Conduct voice assessments, therapy, and management on a face-to-face and telehealth basis.
  • Work with tracheostomy patients as needed, alongside Specialist Respiratory SLTs.
  • Deliver inpatient and outpatient acute ward sessions on a weekday basis.
  • Supervise and mentor Band 5 team members and Support Worker staff.

We work closely with the SSNAP A-rated Stroke SLT service, who were selected for the REACT research study based on their best practice.
