Job Title: Building Surveyor

Certain Advantage is working in partnership with Local Housing Association to recruit a Building Surveyor for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to provide technical surveying services across a geographical portfolio of properties and contract management for a defined planned maintenance programme across the region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned maintenance through external contractors
  • Manage minor works, refurbishment works, and planned repairs
  • Conduct void surveying and health and safety work, including fire safety programmes
  • Work with home owners, leaseholders, and market rent customers
Requirements
  • Current, full driving license or ability to travel around the local vicinity
  • Experience of surveying and contract management in the social housing sector
  • Experience of monitoring works budgets of circa £500k
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to understand customer needs
  • Procurement and performance management skills
  • Project management and coordination skills
  • Working knowledge of current health and safety standards and building legislation
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of financial and contractual considerations
  • Risk management skills
Working Arrangements

This role will involve working from Monday to Thursday out in the community, with Friday typically being an admin meeting day.
