Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team at Wirral Borough Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and develop effective support plans.
  • Work closely with children, young people, and their families to build strong relationships and provide guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, healthcare workers, and other social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children and families.
  • Develop and implement child-centred, co-produced plans that reflect the aspirations and sustainability of families.
  • Provide support and guidance to families to help them build resilience and achieve their goals.

Requirements

  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Ability to converse with members of the public and provide advice in accurate, spoken English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
