Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Auto Skills UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs, general servicing, and MOT preparation on commercial trucks and trailers.
About the Role:
The Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic will work closely with our team to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. This will involve carrying out repairs, general servicing, and MOT preparation, as well as updating required paperwork and databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out repairs as per the initial inspection report
- General Servicing and MOT preparation
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Updating required paperwork and databases
Requirements:
- Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognized apprenticeship
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of truck and trailer maintenance
- A commercial license would be a distinct advantage but is not essential
