Vineyard Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vineyard Worker to join our team at Agricultural and Farming Jobs. As a key member of our vineyard team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our vineyard in Kent.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all work is carried out as per Supervisor or Management instruction and provide training and guidance to other members of the team.
- Pruning, management of vines, spray applications, trellis maintenance, ground management, machinery maintenance, and site maintenance.
- Supervision of agency staff, maintaining a professional and approachable attitude.
- Assist with record keeping, provide cover for the Vineyard Supervisor during periods of holiday, sickness, and act in their absence.
- Provide updates to Vineyard Manager/Viticulturist over this period, ensure staff are following correct procedures and offer guidance/training when lacking.
- Report to the Vineyard Supervisor any issues that may affect the smooth running of the vineyard, constantly strive for improvements in quality, efficiency, cost, and professionalism.
- Provide ongoing training and assistance to all team members across various vineyard sites as requested.
- An interest in viticulture and vine husbandry.
- Excited about learning about UK vineyards and the growing industry we are a part of.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed.
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A confident driver, hold PA1 & PA3 and/or telehandler qualifications - desirable.
- Good communication skills, good levels of English literacy and numeracy, ability to follow directions and work orders.
- Possess a clean and valid driving license and have unrestricted access to a vehicle during the working week.
- Willingness to supervise and work alongside Agency staff.
