Financial Compliance Specialist

Job Description:
This role involves ensuring the financial and regulatory compliance of the Northern Marine Group, while providing support to the Head of Group Financial Compliance and the Finance function.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the authorisation instructions matrix for the Group, conducting an annual review to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate and lead Agresso Controls meetings, following up on actions arising from these meetings.
- Open new bank accounts as required by the business, both within and outside the UK.
- Analyse and improve finance, purchasing, and AP processes annually, working with document owners to enhance documentation quality.
- Be the primary point of contact for changes to existing finance documentation, developing a streamlined change management process.
- Identify gaps in documentation and suggest improvements to enhance finance processes.
- Assist in establishing new companies as needed, handling tasks such as VAT registration and company setup.
- Attend debtors meetings with the Head of Financial Compliance, taking ownership of minutes and actions.
- Provide consolidated reporting on debtors for senior management.
- Manage and report on the Group's working capital, including cash flows, inventory policies, and cash analysis.
- Continuously improve, audit, and maintain key finance documentation within Qualsys.
- Support external audits for UK entities.
- Deliver evidence for other audits (ISO, client audits, SOC audits, internal) and take ownership of specific areas.
- Complete ad hoc information requests and projects as required by finance.
- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders and directors.
- Prepare monthly pension submissions, HMRC payments, and finance payroll costings.
- Assist with annual tax compliance, submitting corporation tax returns for UK companies.
- Prepare P11Ds and PSAs for each PAYE reference.
- Lead project-based work, ensuring teams meet agreed deadlines and objectives.
- Assist the finance team with AARO reporting to meet parent company objectives.
