Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Reading.
As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our client service delivery and contribute to the overall success of the firm. If you're a talented Junior Accountant looking for a step up in your career, or a Semi Senior looking for new exposure and a supportive working environment, we encourage you to learn more about this role.
Job Purpose- Assist with bookkeeping duties and prepare statutory and management accounts.
- Conduct tax computations and prepare VAT returns.
- Liaise with HMRC and handle correspondence and escalating queries to the relevant department.
- Confidently liaise with clients, handling general queries with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Support the junior team; review work and offer mentoring when required.
- Work closely with senior team members, handling duties as required.
