Exciting Opportunity for an Assistant Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their team in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's Accountants in managing financial tasks, with a focus on month-end processes and accurate financial reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their skills and experience in accounting and finance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Posting financial journals and managing accruals and prepayments
  • Assisting with purchase ledger tasks and conducting bank reconciliations
  • Performing ledger reconciliations and supporting audits and compliance processes
  • Handling intercompany reconciliations and undertaking ad-hoc tasks
  • Preparing reports and providing financial analysis and insights
Key Skill Requirements:
  • AAT qualified or recent Accounting graduate with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in IT, especially Excel, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
