Job Title: Advanced Practitioner - Paediatrics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham. As a key member of our Paediatric Emergency Department and Children's Assessment Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to children presenting with a range of conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient-centred care, encompassing assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.
  • Support a new way of working that prioritises efficiency and patient focus, ensuring safe referral, admission avoidance, and discharge of children.
  • Contribute to management, leadership, innovation, and educational responsibilities, with a 20% SPA component.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection requirements.
Requirements:
  • Current professional registration with a relevant regulator.
  • Completion of a recognised Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner programme.
  • A robust clinical portfolio demonstrating core and Paediatric competencies.
  • PGDip Advanced Clinical Practice and Advanced Paediatric Life Support provider.
  • Current NMC Registration RN Child / RSCN and working towards MSc Advanced Clinical Practice.
Experience:
  • Significant post-registration experience in acute Paediatrics.
  • Involvement with scope of practice development.
  • Post-registration experience in Paediatrics as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
