Job Opportunity: Trainee Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary team as a Trainee Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to develop their clinical skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The role will involve working under supervision in the Paediatric Emergency Department and the Children's Assessment Unit, providing patient-centred quality care for children presenting with a broad range of conditions. The post holder will also be expected to assist in the safe referral, admission avoidance and discharge of children with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.

As a Trainee Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to develop a robust clinical capabilities' framework and obtain an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. You will also be supported in your professional development, with a focus on evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary team working.

  • Current professional registration with a relevant professional regulator (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GPhC).
  • Evidence of working as a senior paediatric nurse or equivalent in an acute paediatric setting.
  • Immediate Life Support qualification as minimum standard.
  • Current NMC Registration RN Child / RSCN.
  • Post-registration experience in Paediatrics in a practitioner role.
  • Non-medical independent prescriber.
  • Interest in clinical research.
  • Previous publication(s) or presented at local or national conference.
