About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Fellow in Advanced IBD Surgery to join our esteemed team. As a senior clinical fellow, you will play a pivotal role in providing advanced surgical care to patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert surgical care to patients with complex IBD cases;
  • Collaborating with gastroenterologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans;
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement initiatives;
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and conferences to stay updated on best practices;
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance surgical skills and knowledge.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this prestigious role, applicants must possess:

  • A basic medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent);
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice;
  • MRCS (or equivalent) certification;
  • FRCS at the time of commencement in post;
  • General Professional Training in general surgery with experience in colorectal subspecialty;
  • Completed specialist training or have CCT or equivalent in general surgery within 18 months of interview;
  • NHS Experience excluding clinical attachment;
  • Basic understanding of research methods and statistics;
  • Evidence of participation in Continuing Medical Education (CME)/Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in the last 12 months;
  • Demonstrates behaviour consistent with PROUD values;
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
