Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Youth Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering supported internships and providing individualized support to young adults with autism or a learning disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the individual needs of each young adult.
  • Deliver classroom-based learning sessions on employability and functional skills, tailored to the specific needs of each individual.
  • Facilitate work experience placements and provide ongoing support to individuals throughout the placement.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience of working with young people, preferably in a supported internship or similar role.
  • Experience of supporting individuals with SEND needs, particularly autism or a learning disability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young adults and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the charity.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
