We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to lead our Private Client Tax team.

With 11 offices across Scotland and beyond, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring a high-quality tax compliance service.
  • Providing high-level technical and tax planning advice to clients, working closely with other Directors and Partners.
  • Liaising with the client service team and with colleagues in other disciplines to provide a coordinated service to clients.
  • Developing and growing the department and the firm by identifying and progressing opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date technical knowledge of business tax, personal tax, and capital taxes.
  • Mentoring, training, and supporting team members, as well as overseeing them in all aspects of the portfolio.

About You:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others.
  • Ability to work to a high standard of technical service delivery to clients.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A substantive, proven track record of building internal and external relationships and networks.
  • Practical knowledge of compliance and advisory work with the ability to support the wider team/firm to supply advice to clients when required.
  • Relevant experience in this role is preferred.
  • Qualified CA (or equivalent) and above.
