Job Opportunity

At KPMG-UnitedKingdom, we are seeking a skilled Senior Corporate Tax Specialist to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team. This role will involve working closely with Partners and Directors on complex projects, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and managing UK and cross border teams on tax reporting and UK corporation tax compliance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Partners and Directors on complex projects to deliver technically excellent advice and service.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business to build a network and create opportunities for tax and other services.
• Manage teams on tax reporting and UK corporation tax compliance projects, liaising with specialists, overseas member firms, and external advisers.
• Manage team operations and performance, including resourcing, coaching, and developing junior team members.
• Seek out and pursue opportunities with clients and targets, actively participating in business development activities.
• Manage engagement quality and risk processes and client financials.
• Be a role model for KPMG-UnitedKingdom's values.

Requirements

• Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent.
• Ambitious and enthusiastic.
• Strong UK corporation tax knowledge and awareness of other tax matters.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting concepts under IFRS, UK GAAP (knowledge of US GAAP desirable).
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, curious, and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice.
• Excellent project management skills, including ability to work as part of a team and drive projects forward.
• Brings insight and applies knowledge to business and client problems.
• Sound judgement, including identifying and evaluating risk issues and knowing when to involve others.
• Ability to multi-task and manage a range of clients, projects, and relationships.
• Strong motivation to develop and coach junior team members.
• Dedication to continuously develop skills and technical knowledge.
