Personal Assistant for Independent Living

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and confident Personal Assistant to support an individual with epilepsy and a learning disability in their daily life.

The successful candidate will provide companionship and support for social activities, such as swimming, going to the gym, and meals out, while also assisting with daily tasks and ensuring the individual's safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany the individual on outings and activities
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as reminding the individual to take medication or lock doors
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times

Requirements

  • Confident and calm in emergency situations
  • Experience of epilepsy or first aid training an advantage
  • Trustworthy and respectful of the individual's independence
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations

Working Hours

4 hours per week, Wednesday 11am-3pm, with some flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.

Rate of Pay

£11.44 per hour, plus 0.40p per mile for mileage.
